My team is leading on
Coronavirus:
We acted very quickly to begin providing clear resources and guidance to our constituents. We shut down our offices and created a plan. We began sending a weekly email to 200k people with vital information.
The most important thing we have been doing is our constituent services here on the ground.
During this crisis, I have talked to mayors, fire responders, local businesses to make sure they have the guidance and the resources they need, including PPE that we knew wasn’t coming from the federal government.
I had a conversation with Gov. Baker to establish the first COVID-only hospital in America.
I assembled an all-star COVID task force of experts who have been regularly advising me throughout this crisis.
I’ve pushed Congress to respond:
As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I received some of the earliest briefings and knew we needed to act quickly. I received some pushback back then that I was overreacting, but of course it’s been even worse than our worst expectations.
I have helped write legislation to deliver trillions of dollars, including to save small businesses.
I worked to get grocery store workers and transportation workers designated as emergency personnel to secure PPE and priority COVID testing.
